What is the mission of your business? Your mission as business owners?

As artists we create bespoke hair colors, cuts, and styles for our guests. We are obsessed with lifelong learning and mastery of our craft. The goal is to provide a holistic approach to hair and skin care with a warm, personal touch.

In a few words, describe your small business corridor or community.

The West Girard business corridor is a diverse group of artistic risk-takers creating community one small business at a time.

Give three words that describe the small businesses you like to visit as a customer. Authentic, professional, personal.

How does your business/business community fit into the larger business community in Philadelphia?

The success of our business is made possible through the service and support of other Philadelphia professionals and businesses. We serve Crime & Punishment beer at our happy hours, we use local distributors and our auxiliary team members are all Philly-based. Not to mention, without places such as Rybrew and Spot Burger, none of us would eat any lunch.

What’s the one concept or principle that has been key to your success?

Serving our clients through open, honest communication alongside dedication to our craft has helped build strong, creative relationships.

How did you come to be business owners?

When you can’t find your perfect fit, create it. After years of working in Philly salons followed by a brief stint doing hair out of our front porch foyer, we knew we were looking for something different. We needed an environment where creative license, professionalism, positivity, and encouragement for hairstylists could flourish. Seeing the changing climate in Brewerytown, our very own community, we saw the opportunity to provide our neighbors with our high quality hair and skin care services.

What’s one thing you know now about running a business, that you wish you knew then?

Find and utilize professional resources. DIY isn’t always the answer.

As business owners, how do you decompress?

Music, massage, and mixed drinks!
